and services in the Northern Territory. Winners of the 2010
Brolga Northern Territory Tourism Awards automatically become
finalists in the 2010 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards. The
competition is open to tourism operators, industry suppliers
and outstanding individuals, who prepare a submission in response

About the Telstra Business Awards
The Telstra Business Awards celebrate the aspirations and
successes of Australia’s myriad small-to-medium businesses.
Now in its 19th year, the Telstra Business Awards is Australia’s
pre-eminent business awards program, comprising a series of
State and Territory finals and culminating in a National final
which aims to catapult entrants to even greater success. The
Telstra Business Awards offer a unique channel for any Australian
business to win national recognition for outstanding dedication,
commitment and success. Over nearly t0-WayOutBack/ decades, the Telstra
Business Awards has uncovered a vast number of great success
stories. Every year the Awards seek to discover more of these
successes, which might otherwise remain unsung and anonymous.
What is TQUAL?
The TQUAL mark is the first National symbol of quality for
tourism products and services in Australia and being associated
with the TQUAL mark not only means that operators are identified
as offering quality tourism products, but it also shows consumers
that TQUAL accredited operators are among the best in their
field. Why was TQUAL Accreditation Introduced?
There are currently over 20 programs within the tourism industry
that are involved in accrediting, rating or certifying tourism
products and services. While these programs go a long way
towards encouraging quality, the large number can cause confusion
and dilute the potential recognition of each program among
tarvellers. What’s in it for Travellers? A National brand
of quality will enable consumers to recognise and then make
better informed choices about which companies they engage
with, giving consumers comfort that their expectations of
the tourism experience will be met. TQUAL is about delivering
on the customer quality promise.

Make your Wayoutback Tour Carbon Neutral for Free!
Wayoutback has a long history of 0-WayOutBack/rking to minimise the
impact we have on our beautiful and delicate Central Australian
desert environment. Global warming is something that affects
us all and something we need to help address if we want to
continue to run a sustainable and responsible business, not
to mention a future for our kids. Because of our own efforts
to reduce our carbon emissions, and in recognition of our
Advanced Eco Tourism status, Wayoutback is proud to be participating
in Outback Offsets, a joint pilot program established by Tourism
NT, The Northern Territory Governments tourism agency.
The aim of the Carbon Offset Pilot Project is to offset the
carbon emissions of approximately 40% of the touring sector
in Central Australia and is modelled on the Eurostar ‘Tread
Lightly’ program. The upshot is that when you travel with
Wayoutback and when Booking any of our tours, you can elect
to offset the carbon emissions for FREE !!
The money required to offset your emissions will go to LMS
Generation Pty Ltd, an Australian Government approved Greenhouse
Friendly™ abatement provider. The LMS abatement is from the
Shoal Bay Landfill Gas Generation project in Darwin which
produces electricity from methane gas harvested from waste.
